The Facet: Childless marriage

Abstract
The study focuses on the lived experiences of Married couple who does not have children and the study used the phenomenological design as research method. There were six informants in the study, four males and two females. The researcher was the main research instrument in the study using interview method. Moreover, the analysis was done through detailed reading and interpreting of transcripts to identify the themes of the study. The results revealed the six major themes including “Love”, “Positive outlook in life”, “Coping Strategies”, “Divine Faith”, “Emptiness”, and “Emotional and Psychological Distress)”. In addition, the subthemes that emerged in the study suggested that majority of the informants feel contentment, happiness, secured, confident and optimistic to their marriage life in living together without having children. Although, another subtheme revealed that a feeling of incompleteness is felt in childless marriage.
