One of the metadata for scholarly literature is Google Scholar. For academics who gain from their research, it is helpful. The purpose of this article was to examine Google Scholar usage and awareness among research researchers at Periyar University. The necessary information was received from the research scholar, and a total of 120 questionnaires were issued. Of them, 110 were returned completed. The study's findings revealed that 40% of participants were very familiar with Google Scholar. Google Scholar was made known to 50% of the respondents through a librarian.
