Waterlogged lives: A sociological exploration of the human dimensions of urban flooding in dibrugarh town Assam

Abstract
This paper aims to explore the sociological aspects of urban flooding
in Dibrugarh town, Assam, India, with a specific focus on the human dimensions
of this phenomenon. This study takes a sociological perspective to investigate
how urban flooding disrupts livelihood activities, children's education, and
household chores; it also demonstrates how urban flooding influences religious
practices and inhabitants' health. Using qualitative analysis, the study
explores the complex interplay between environmental factors, offering insight
into the various issues affected communities face.
