Abstract
This study investigates the relationship between parental involvement and student academic success among Grade 7 students in urban and rural schools of Raipur. Using a descriptive survey method, data were collected from 120 students (60 urb an, 60 rural) through structured questionnaires. Statistical tools such as mean, standard deviation, and t-test (critical ratio) were applied. Findings revealed that urban students had significantly higher parental involvement (M = 78.07) compared to rural students (M = 65.63). Similarly, academic achievement was higher among urban students (M = 80.95) than rural students (M = 68.82). Students with high parental involvement scored significantly better than those with low involvement. The results highlight a strong positive relationship between parental involvement and academic achievement and underscore disparities between rural and urban education systems.
