Communication skills are essential for the academic, social, and personal development of students. The present study investigates the importance of effective communication skills among middle school students in Raipur District. The study was conducted on a sample of 120 students comprising 60 boys and 60 girls selected from government and private schools. A self-made questionnaire consisting of 30 Yes/No items was used for data collection. The descriptive survey method was employed, and statistical techniques such as Mean, Standard Deviation, and t-test (CR) were used for data analysis. The findings revealed that communication skills significantly contribute to students' confidence, classroom participation, academic achievement, and social interaction. No statistically significant differences were found between boys and girls or between students of government and private schools. The study emphasizes the need for communication skill development programs in schools.
